Q: Have you ever shipped yourself with anyone other than Ash Ketchum?
Miranda: I’m gonna let my nine-year-old self handle this one . . .
Child Miranda: I do not ship me with Ash!
First of all, my OC Pokemon trainer isn’t even ME. She’s an original character named Mariko Mizuno who is super tough and has a team of all birds and is nothing like me at all!
And anyway, shipping couples that aren’t canon is soooooo stupid. I am a mature Pokemon viewer who appreciates that Ash and Misty will be together forever.
I notice that Miranda dodged the question of “did she ever ship herself with anyone? [since the ‘Else-part’ is apparently not an actual thing]”
Tiny!Miranda’s all bird team is kind of tough – she’s got access to…Gen 1 and 2, at most? Articuno, and Zapdos; Golduck, because YES Psychic (and because you want at least one non-flying type), and then things get murky. Ho-oh versus Moltres – Ho-oh has better stats, hands down, but Moltres naturally gets better fire moves. Probably give it to Ho-oh, just for it’s capacity to use Recovery, and teach it some better fire moves. And then you have Lugia, Murkcrow, and…well, which ever one you didn’t just take. Pidgegot and Fearow are interesting, but not compared to having a new type or substantially better stats. and just forget the multi-headed ostrich XD That’s Fire, Flying, Ice, Water, Electricity, Psychic, and maybe Dark for your team, and an absolute loathing of Electric types – good reason to lead with Zapdos.
