Yeah, it’s another day with a late page. I went and got a job, and it’s seriously cutting into my comic-making time.
Here’s some art to tide you over until the page comes up later tonight:

A third of BICP’s traffic over the past week has come from TopWebComics! And that’s pretty impressive considering this round of voting only started five days ago :D
We’re currently down to spot 103, only a handful of votes shy of hanging on to that front-page sweet spot. As if that weren’t motivation enough, there’s also a pretty new incentive image for voters. Go see it!
In related excellent news, BICP is an eligible fandom in this year’s Yuletide. So if you’ve ever wanted to write BICP fanfiction, or at least get someone else to write it for you, check it out and sign up :D
Please vote for BICP on TopWebComics! Voting is once a day per person, and resets at the start of the month, meaning it’s anyone’s game right now. Let’s make a concentrated push this month and bring BICP to the top!
(In ironic other news…today’s comic will be somewhat late due to technical issues. We’ll be back on track by this afternoon, never fear!)
My computer mouse is dead. Gone kaput. Given up the ghost. It’s dead, Jim. All I have left to draw with is a trackpad, and that’s already making my hand sore.
Help me buy a new one? They’re not expensive, but I’m actually possibly going to be late with rent next month, and need to be making more money than I spend. Send PayPal donations to [email protected] — any amount will help, even as little as $1. Anyone who donates will get a chibi and/or a sketch, as soon as possible.
(Technology just isn’t going my way lately — my scanner broke down last month. At least in that case I don’t need to rush to a replacement, since I can borrow the ones at school.)
Thanks in advance to everyone who can chip in!
I’m going to be upgrading BICP’s underlying coding from ComicPress to the sleeker, more functional Comic Easel this weekend. If anything seems screwy or broken in the next couple of days, that will probably be why!
ETA, four in the morning: Everything should now be functional! If you spot any issues — broken links, black text on a dark green background, etc — please let me know.
This election season, make sure you educate yourself on the issues (reading a webcomic about talking rabbits doesn’t count) and are registered to vote! Whatever your political persuasion, this form will help you get registered in your state. Just fill it out to get started:
Get a similar form for your own website or blog! (And yes, Tumblr counts.)
ETA (7/16): Another delay, obviously! There’s been a bit of a reference-picture snafu. Will be sorted out by this evening. Hang tight.
Today’s page will be somewhat late. To tide you over, have some sketches crossposted from the BICP Tumblr:
I try to avoid making statements about How To Interpret The Comic, but some of the insults thrown at Miranda are just baffling. Especially when, if you really need a character to snap at, there’s another character right there who’s been far more damaging….
Bennett: “So the readers think we should make out now.”
Cohen: “O RLY?”
Shippers gonna ship.
A new Sailor Moon anime is due to come out in summer 2013!
Oh, and today’s page is going to be a few hours late. Check out the BICP Tumblr for pretty sketches and background art to browse while you wait.

Aaaaaand we have a print edition of chapter 3!
It’s bigger. It’s shinier. It has bonus art on every page, and a whole bunch of bonus text in the back. There are secret hints about where the story is going. There’s more of Timothy trying on jewelry. It’s even slightly cheaper. How can you resist?
Chapter 3
A Camellia By Any Other Name
(B&W, 32 pages, $5.99 through Amazon)
“This won’t end well. Cat spirits are bad news. Fox spirits, on the other hand….”
—Uzumaki Naruto
“Stupid Timothy. It’s not like she’s following you because she likes you, or anything.”
—Asuka Langley Soryu
“Eh. I’ve seen worse homages.”
—Tenjou Utena
