Annotated Chapter 14 Cover – Two Ships Passing

My notes say this was riffing on a Kyou Kara Maoh cover, but now I can’t find any with quite the same composition. At the right is my best guess. Anyone reading this who recognizes what it was supposed to be? Comment and let us know.
Pretty sure this is the only chapter where I like the original cover art better than the update. Obviously it has its weaknesses, but when it comes to the composition, the framing, that faded-out Patrick in the window…? Probably should’ve ditched the “cover art homages” theme, just this once.
