I never liked it when comics just plopped an unedited photo in the background, not even trying to keep it from sticking out like a sore thumb against the hand-drawn cartoony rest-of-the-strip. So here I at least posterized the colors (reduced them to big flat blocks of the same shade as much as possible) and pushed the values (lots of bright whites & dark darks).

These days, of course, Clip Studio can just magically convert these things into perfect manga-style lineart. 2011 was a simpler time.

Bianca: When did you get the new clothes?

Patrick: I didn’t. I rearranged the old ones.

Bianca: Oh, cool! Can you do that with any outfit?

Patrick: Only mine.

Bianca: Oh. That’s much less useful than I was thinking.

Patrick: Sorry, Master.

Bianca: Don’t be! Let’s get you set up with some books.
