Cozy button-up sweaterAfter the storm.

Jany’s bag in the middle right panel is a really striking example of “filled with a pattern that goes straight across the page, irrespective of the angle of the fabric it’s on.” Lots of the patterns and textures I use have enough wave in them that you don’t necessarily notice. And if I’d had Clip Studio Paint by this point, it would’ve been easy to add the perfect wave. Neither was the case here.

(I’d replace it for the print version, but I feel like this is one of those details most readers won’t even notice if I don’t point it out. And luckily, I’m only pointing it out in the online annotations.)

Don’t know where Miranda got that cozy button-up sweater, but I want one.

Jany (thinking): Oh geez, there had to be something wrong with that, or it wouldn’t have felt so good.

Okay, Jany, freak out later. You’re on a deadline, and you have to do some planning for once so you don’t bollocks this up.

First step: double-check time zones before trying to reach the US.

Sparrow: Listen, I don’t need a lot of money. And I’m still on Mom’s health insurance, thanks to Obamacare.

I just need to be able to pay the rent, and to have “can’t make it in due to a teleport gone wrong” not be a firing offense.

. . . again. Friggin’ unreasonable StuffMart.

Miranda: Believe me, having another person who can do this at all is going to be worth plenty. How much is your rent?
