'Concern' memeCohen is trying so hard not to be controlling and overbearing.

He’s showing interest! In a healthy and responsible parental way! Also, feeling a lot of concern, and just trying to let you know. In a low-key, subtle, no-pressure-at-all kind of way.

…this features the one single panel I’ve actually redrawn so far for the Master’s Edition. The copy-paste strategy on Cohen’s face was okay for showing “subtle change that he’s struggling to hide,” but definitely not the most effective use of copy-pasting.

Back in Boston today.

Sparrow: . . . so I’m thinking we tweak the Hebrew to a different phrase. I have a list of ideas, but I’m having trouble getting them in the exact amount of letters to fit in all the spikes . . .

Phone: Ms. Lake? Mr. Cohen here to see you.

Miranda: He’s trying to get more practice at father-daughter time . . . and he’s been pretty good at not telling me how to run the place. I can tell him to beat it, but that might come off suspicious.

Sparrow: Uh . . . sure, okay, let him in.

Cohen: Hi, sweetie! I mean, [ahem] Ms. Lake. What are you working on today?

. . .

. . .

Mandy, are you sure this is the one you want to work on? I’m not criticizing, you have your own life, it’s none of my business, but think of your poor old father’s health . . .

Sparrow: Sounds to me like he doesn’t need any practice at being a Jewish parent.
