Sparrow: Miranda, if you don’t do it —
Miranda (Malachim): Heal thyself!

Cohen: Phew! If that stress had kept up any longer, I probably would’ve had a heart attack. Already felt like it went on for a month.
Cybele: Sorry I couldn’t be more help, Stu!
Cohen: Cybele, you took a bullet, you did plenty.
Blake: You did it, boss! You stood your ground, didn’t fall for it, and they backed down —
Ilsa: No.
What happened here is, they were sincerely reaching out to make the system better, and you kicked their hands away. Because you can’t believe that there are people who, deep down, don’t think exactly like you.
What was made better? There is nothing wrong with the Game, and there is some indication it actually serves a higher purpose.
What? Beings have died – either from Game withdrawal or because of owners who live by Walker’s philosophy of “the only way my Being gets to win is if others die”. (Whereas Our Heroes are operating under a more “the only way to win is not to play” philosophy.) How is there nothing wrong about that?
The thing is, the only being recorded to die has been the Mouse because the Nazis were fuckheads.
The Donkey proved The Game isn’t essential for keeping a Being healthy.
The only higher purpose we’ve seen for The Game so far is a kind of “mutually assured destruction demo” for magicians: gratuitous violence, but with no permanent effect, thanks to that one little clause in the Contract.
