Miranda: Oh, right . . . There’s one real, live thing you might see and take for a dragon.
That Being was on the British Isles for almost a thousand years. Then one of its Masters died on a campaign in India. It stayed there until, some time in the past century, its latest Master emigrated . . .
. . . and now, as far as we know, it’s back in the UK again.
(Surrey, England.)
Jany: Anything else?
Customer: No, that’ll do me.
Jany: Right. That’s fourteen pounds fifty.
Customer: You’re Salima’s girl, aren’t you? What’s your name again?
Jany: My name’s Jany. Come back soon and buy more stuff!
First!
Jany’s pretty. Why does it seem that most of the Being owners are young adults or even just kids? Most of them.
The current older Masters we’ve seen are Park, Bennett, and Walker. For young adults, it’s Bianca, Miranda, and Jany. Timothy’s about 30, somewhere in the middle. And of course Reseda’s and Patrick’s previous Masters were both adults.
Probably there seem to be more young-adult Masters because those are the characters who get more panel time ^_^;
Oh, she’s so lovely with her brown eyes and little dragon!
Women of Indian descent living in England and in control of a terrible, possible highly destructive monster. Really Erin, never eard that one before ;) Not that we should mind much…
Lizard that can turn into a dragon beats wannabe Rabbit of Caerbannog. Sorry Cybele.
Glad you got the server side issues worked out, It was weird to see the page in my GoogleReader and not be able to get to it.
I wonder if she’s Muslim, Hindu, or other? There are interesting sociological considerations for each in the UK.
going by Erin’s previous works (in particular And Shine Heaven Now) and using a bit of my own Hindu background, I think Jany is either Hindu or some form of Indian Christian (St. Thomas or Catholic).
Ooh, I wonder if the national symbol of Wales is linked somehow with this Being.
