Chapter Sixteen Page 1
Washington, D.C.:Where, in theory, people from all across the nation elect to send their best and brightest to solve problems and move their country forward.
Where, in practice, what we get instead is Congress.
Bennett: Passing this bill will only make the average American unhappy . . .
. . . as you can see in this very scientific diagram!
I have another diagram with the feelings of the average American if we reject this bill . . .
. . . brought in by this helpful and entirely unknown-to-me page.
Cybele, why are you disguising yourself as a congressional page?
Cybele: It’s a convenient disguise for staying near you at work without raising suspicion, boss! Plus, it would really scare up support for your Being-restricting legislation if you exposed how easily I fooled federal security!
Bennett: . . . I wish you had come up with this idea before I started caring more about you than I do about the bill.
Waaait, did Cybele give him the diagrams in wrong order?
Fffff, all the other detail I put into this page and I forgot to switch the mouths. Fixed now.
“Washington, D.C.:Where, in theory, people from all across the nation elect to send their best and brightest to solve problems and move their country forward.
Where, in practice, what we get instead is Congress.” — LOL! It’s a good thing I don’t teach Civics, I would have to quote this and often.
That is a GENIUS idea. Go, Cybele.
A sad face diagram? Cohen is becoming so obviously inept it’s kind of adorable.
My bet is he’s trying to torpedo the bill without coming across as having changed sides, since he introduced the legislation.
“if pro is the opposite of con, is progress the opposite of congress?”
i LOVE the way all these little stories weave into each other… this truly shows how a choice between say one bet or another bet can have BIG impacts upon life and you don’t even notice
