Dogwoods are the flowers in Lily’s headdress. Meanings taken from various websites; google “[flower name] symbolism” to learn more.

Timothy: The bracts of a dogwood tree often appear in the shape of a cross, surrounding flowers which are arranged like a crown of thorns. The red-stained holes in the tips of the bracts represent the wounds caused by the nails.

White lilies in Christian tradition symbolize chastity as well as virtue. This was the symbol of the Virgin Mary’s purity. In ancient Egypt, the lily was associated with fertility.
